PC games on an emulator?

So basicaly, how well would modern PC games run on a Mac using an emulator? I still own an old G3 B&W, which I wont be using for games, but I want to sell this god forsaken PC for a Mac, but I love to play my video games. I just purchased the World in Conflict game and wanted to know how well other modern games, even old ones like Ghost Recon, Operation Flashpoing and Rainbow Six 3, would run on it with a newer model Mac. Any help would be greatfull.

G3 B&W, Mac OS 9.2.x

Just looking through all of these posts for some info about running games on WinXP through Boot Camp. Specifically I have been trying to play Rugby 08 which does play but every few seconds it stalls or jumps a little. I'm not really an experienced gamer at all so I was just wondering if anyone is familiar with such a problem and could offer advice? Is there a driver or such that can fix this or is my Mac just not up to the task? It's ATI Rad X1600.
