MP3 "jukebox" with playlist on iWeb page?

Well, i know you can drag and drop one track to play in the background on your iWeb pages, but i have a "Lounge" section with widget games and want to create a nice atmosphere with a nice jukebox MP3 player on the page where visitors can scroll through 4-7 tracks perhaps.

Is this possible somehow? Can't find any good widgets that do that. Appreciate any help, thanks 🙂

Also, on a sidenote, am i the only one having trouble with getting errors when i try to leave those "helpful" and "solved" awards?

I get this error message:

"Error

An error in the system has occurred. Please contact the system administrator if the problem persists."

Have you had a look here?

The Snocap jukebox that I have here...

... is built on the Snocap website. They generate the code and you copy and paste it into an HTML snippet box on your iWeb page. To find out more go to...

No matter what system you use you should own the copyright for the music you are playing on your site or pay a royalty to the copyright holder. You don't HAVE to - but you could get sued!

Thanks for the reply and yeah, i've seen those but is there really any good ones there? Checked them all and couldn't find any good ones. I'l give it another look through. That player you use costs money right, there no smaller freeware/diet version?

We're talking like Soundgarden MP3's etc, that i have bought from the iTunes store. Would that be ok to have in the background?

If not, would they sue you though, for using like 3-6 songs as background music on your small hobby site as opposed to a big commercial site? I doubt it and never even gave it any thought until now when you mentioned it.

The Snocap player doesn't cost anything - you just need an account and to upload your own material.

Have a look at...

I haven't tried it but it looks like the sort of thing you're looking for...

Let me know if you do.

I've been looking into the same kind of thing, like the MySpace players on musician sites (not the standard players). I tried eSnips and everything went great until I played the music. The songs played back at nearly a whole step flat, and slow. Really bizarre - almost like playing an old reel to reel with a little bit of pressure applied to the roller to slow it down.

I don't know if this is common, but I can't use it. Too bad, 'cause otherwise it's great. Just gonna have to keep looking.

What file format are you using to upload your music?

I'm using mp3 files from iTunes music library. Would a different format yield a different result? This is just really strange to me - I've never experienced a pitch shift (unintentionally) in my digital music.

And I've tried the Flash Fetish option as suggested previously. Got the same results. What format am I supposed to be using?

Your files are getting corrupted somewhere along the line. If you have the original AIFF or WAV files, try converting them to M4A in iTunes.
I'm not a fan of iTunes and tend to get the music files out of it and upload them from a folder. Most of my files are coming out of a hardware recorder and I'm only using iTunes to convert them to M4A until I find something better.
I use the Snocap player because they do all the work for me but I did try out Esnips and didn't have any problem.
