Where is the MODEL NUMBER of my macbook located?

I am trying find where the model number of my macbook (ex. MA609LL) is located.

1) I do not have the reciept and even if i did i would want to verify what the document said.
2) It is not underneath the battery on MY macbook pro or anywhere else on the case.
3) it is not in the system profiler or 'about this mac' window.

any suggustions other than what i have mentioned here?

Thank you.

macbook, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Scott,

The model number was on the packing list/receipt and on the box. It is not on the MacBook itself. The current models are:
MB061LL/A (white 2 GHz)
MB062LL/A (white 2.16 GHz)
MB063LL/A (black)
These numbers can be found in the tech specs section of Apple's web site, or (for older models) you can download a neat little application called MacTracker.
