Problems converting a 10 minute video for YouTube

I'm having trouble converting a 10 minute video done in FCP for use on YouTube. I used the Export to QuickTime Conversion to H.264/AAC. I then imported the QuickTime file into Compressor. Should I be importing the file into Compressor? Could someone walk me thru this step by step. I don't know where to adjust the video data rate. YouTube's constraints are: videos no larger than 100MB and 10 minutes max. I'd appreciate the clear instructions. Thanks!!

You would export from FCP to QuickTime format at the specs set by YouTube.
Compressor should not be one of the steps.
Use the expert settings to match the YouTube requirements. Use a lower data rate to help reduce file size.

I tried exporting to QuickTime but don't see where I'm able to adjust file size. Is the expert settings, 'custom?' It has a list of codecs, including H.264. Is this the codec I use? Do I reduce quality?

Use "custom" and change the dimensions and reduce the data rate. Same with the audio.
Read the YouTube specs before you start.

If your video is still to big. You can use another codec other then the one used in the tut....
