I can't really complain about yesterday's update. I LOVE the iPod controls and iTunes Wifi. My only question is, does anyone else have the iPod play icon stuck next to their battery icon? Mine doesn't go away even when I'm not listening to music. When I pause (and essentially stop listening to music) it might show the pause icon for a little while but if I go into another application or put my baby into sleep mode then wake it up... the play icon is back.
Yep, the same happened to me last night as soon as I put the iPhone in "airplane mode" I saw that pop up. Not sure what I did to make it go away but it just finally disappeared.
Ok. This happened to me a couple of times when I first got my iPhone back in July (so not sure it has to do with the recent update).
My question I guess is when you get out of the ipod application, do you just hit the home button to get out?
I ask because I found if I did that, not only did I have the "play" button still show up, but the name of the song appeared on the home menu.
What I learned to do was when exiting the ipod app, I first paused the song, then backed out of it by way of the arrow on the upper left hand corner, then I would press the home button for about 6-8 seconds taking me to the home screen. I have not had that problem ever since.
It's worth a shot for you all.
Yep, I have the same problem. Mine will periodically show up (I havn't figured out when or why), and the only way to get rid of it is to go into the iPod, start playing a song, and then pause it and back out. It's weird and annoying, but I'm glad to hear it's not just me.
its not an issue, its just telling you that your selection has been "bookmarked/paused" because you left the app without stopping the ipod selection...once you return & press play it starts from where you left off. Id say its & neat feature, just because your not use to it doesnt mean its a problem 😉
if some of you are having problems with it staying on constantly, id restore... good luck
the home button does not close the application, it simply minimizes it. thats why u start right where u left off. to close any application u have to hold the home button until u return to the home screen.
the play icon usually goes away when minimized but it if doesnt, close the application if it bothers u
I had the random play icon next to the battery show up without playing any songs or video. So I also just go into iPod and start playing a song and hit pause return to home screen and it goes away for a while. Two resets got it to stop for me.
I don't have to play a song or movie for this to come up. I can be in safari and the icon will just pop up on its own. This never happend before 1.1.1. Now it happens at least once a week.
