What is Error -5014 ??

I am trying to mount a remote AFP file server using Go/Connect to Server...

The attempt to mount the server fails with *Error Code -5014*.

A search of the Apple support site and all Apple forums turns up nothing about this error code.
However, www.AppleErrorCodes.com reports this is an "AFP Misc Error". Interesting, but not terribly helpful in troubleshooting.

The server is a Gentoo (Linux) box running the AFP daemon (afpd). I used to be able to mount it with no problems, until I upgraded from OSX 10.4.9 to 10.4.10.

I've searched all the OSX logs hoping to find some indication of what's gone wrong.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Probably not much more help than misc error... LOL, but it's happening in the XPP driver, and I "think" when it's attempting to GetSrvrParms.

BDAqua,
Thanks for the tip. I'm now searching the Gentoo forums and found a hit on -5014.

Evidence there that corruption of the various 'Apple' files on the server might impact OSX ability to mount the volume. Files like .AppleDB, .AppleDesktop, :2eDS_Store, .DS_Store, etc.

I have no idea what I might do on the OSX side, but I can try deleting all the Apple cruft on the Linux volume and see if that helps.
