I am trying to download purchased movie to iTouch and it is saying it is full. This is impossible as the iTouch is showing 6GB of space on it and the movie is only 1GB. Is there an issue with determining space allocation on the iTouch? Why am I getting this error.

Thanks and I look forward to your replies.

Sounds like a damaged flash profile, within the device. Try a full restore of firmware from iTunes, and then try re-syncing everything including that movie.

How do you do a restore of firmware from iTunes?

When you have your iPod Touch connected. Click the iPod in the left pane, in the iTunes interface. Then click the button 'Restore'. iTunes will prompt you as you what to do with the device during the setup process. Please DO NOT dis-connect the device until iTunes tells you to do so, you may end up with a un-operatable device otherwise.

Also, some units have said to of stopped completely during an update in iTunes, therefore causing half a firmware version to be installed, and thereforemaking the device not-usable.

    Be careful, and good luck

OK I have restored iTouch to 1.1.1. The problem I am having is with one movie I downloaded from iTunes. Everything else is working fine. Is it possible the movie has a problem? I have never purchased a movie and downloaded before. I should also mention that I had a 30GB video ipod before. When connecting the iTouch for the 1st time, iTunes prompted me to name the iTouch. I changed the name from what I had for the 30GB video iPod. Could this be the cause? I am just listing all possibilities here.

Again I look forward to your suggestions.

Sounds like the movie you downloaded is corrupt. What was the movie/video you downloaded from iTunes which caused this issue?

Found the problem. The partioned drive I had been using iTunes was full. I moved my iTunes library to a bigger drive(external) and it is now able to download successfully.

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
