XBox 360 Wireless Adapter

Does anyone have any experience of using the XBox 360 Wireless Adapter with the built in Airport Card in an iMac.

I have a Wii and PS3 which both connect wirelessly to it without any issues, but before I spend £300 on an Xbox 360, I'd like to know if it's going to work OK.

Thanks for any help.

I'm also keen to find out. I've just bought the wifi adapter for Xbox 360 and was hoping to use the airport card in my iMac to share internet with it so I can connect to Xbox Live.

I've tried so many options with the sharing part of system preferences but have had little success.

I've seen a few tutorials on line which show how you can use the ethernet port to share your wireless connection but I've got a slightly different setup. My iMac is plugged into my cable modem via ethernet and I want to use the airport card to broadcast the internet connection to my Xbox.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Similar question. I have an iMac hooked up to my high speed internet through an Airport Express. I can buy an Xbox wireless adapter for $99...will it run through the Airport Express?

I'd rather buy another Airport express, hook it up to the Xbox with a USB cable. will that work too?

Same question. I have an IMac G5 with the Airport card in it creating a wireless home network w/internet sharing in my home. It has worked fine for three years with anything that has needed to log onto the network. I recently received a wireless part for my XBox 360 (the official MS one), but cannot get it to connect to my home network, which it does "see".

Thanks so much for any suggestions.

x-box wireless USB adaptor is not compatible with the Apple Extreme N router. Don't know about the Express. You could try to connect with no wireless security enabled on the network but that's being a bit risky. Hardwired to either Apple router works ok.

Any word on if you can have it connect wirelessly using your imac as your wireless network hub yet? All of the posts I see anywhere online (and i've spent hours looking) seem to have to do with wiring your computer to your laptop and using that wireless or if an airport express/extreme works, not this subject. I just really don't want to purchase another wireless router if my imac will already to it for me internally.

Thanks for any help.

The Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter is definitely compatible with the Apple 802.11n wireless router, I would know this because I have it connected to my Xbox right now. It was formerly not compatible, but Microsoft released a patch that made it compatible. I hope I answered your question.
