WAP push on iPhone?

I just got a new iPhone(yay!!). I would like to know if anyone tried to access online websites that do a "WAP push" to your phone (restaurant search, movie times etc.). I accessed one such website and I did not get a WAP push back from the site. I searched for this topic on the support documents available on apple site but nothing turned up except that "push email" is not supported except on yahoo mail.
Anyone had any success. I would have thought that WAP push would work on the iPhone normally.
Appreciate any light thrown on this question
