Sync Contacts with iPhone

The iPhone syncs Contacts only one way from the iPhone to the Address Book. Is there a way to merge Contacts in a two way Sync with the computer?

I'm having a bit of trouble with this too. After selecting my iPhone in iTunes the info tab has that Advanced setting which indicates that on the next sync a "replace" info sync will happen. However, that doesn't seem to happen with a few of my contacts.

Am I misunderstanding the way that Advanced setting is supposed to work?

Checking anything in Advanced overwrites ALL info on the iPhone with what is on the Mac or PC.

This is not something you want to do if you manually put in allot of Data as this would be overwritten.

Your best method would be to go to iTunes Preferences in Windows- iPhone Tab- Reset Sync history and try and sync again.

or on a Mac open iSync in Applications. Then open iSync Preferences and Reset Sync History and test again.
