when you click on "window" in the menu bar, there is and euqualizer. You can control the bass/treble and preamp levels from there. Other than that, there is no other option. Why kind of setup do you use? Because from the macbook speaker it won't make much of a difference.
Thanks Charles, that did the trick. I'm using a pair of Bose Companion II speakers plugged in to my MacBook's soundcard. The sound is extremely high fidelity (e.g. Bose) but the bass needs some adjusting and I've been racking my brain trying to figure a way to fix it. This worked well, thanks again!
