Why does it keep blinking?

Hi all,

I have a question, may be dumb... my nano just keeps blinking the apple logo on and off?

Is this bad? I plugged it in to my comp. and thought it would charge, I also just downloaded itunes... ?

See if these help.

iPod shows only an Apple logo and doesn't start up.

Only the Apple logo appears when turned on.

Hi there,

My iPod nano is doing exactly the same thing. I dont know what to do now that I have tried everything people have suggested to do. Have you fixed yours yet? Can you please e-mail me at < Edited by Host > and tell me how you got on with yours? I have absolutly no idea what to do next and it is slowly starting to bother me, being without my iPod.

Hi again please ignore my post below and try these steps. It worked for my nano and hopefully the same for yours.
-Connect the ipod via USB to your computer.
-Put the iPod into disk mode (push the select button and the play/pause button when the apple logo appers without the backlight for a few seconds untill it shows it is in disk mode.)
-Click on My Computer
-Right click the ipod driver
-Go down to Format...
-Select FAT32 (dont do a Quick Format)
-Then restore your ipod in itunes.
