Location of UAD-1 Presets?

Location of UAD-1 Presets?

Yesterday I downloaded a file of new UAD presets
from UA's site but no matter where i try to put tthe
file the presets don't show up when i try to select them in a
Logic song. I know there is a UAD preset file somewhere on my system because
some of the plugs originally came with presets and
they are available to me.
Anybody know where they are hiding?

They go in the Plug In Settings Folder inside your Logic Application folder. Not all plug ins show the list of presets. My 1176 doesn't. I have to ask it to "load" the setting.

Well that's curious. For something like the Plate 140 there is an actual list of presets to choose from. But not so for the 1176? OK how do you ask it to load the presets? Mine offers to load VST presets but not AU and when I try to select an AU preset from the VST load option, it doesn't work.

In the pull down menu, just choose "load setting" and you will see the folder of settings in your app folder. Don't know how to get the settings to be there like the other plugs.

Thanks everybody. Here's what i finally figured out:
I installed here: user/lib/app support/logic/plug in settings.
Note I couldn't just place the UAD folder here. I had to open the folder and place the individual plugs (1176, LA2A etc) here.
Now when i open the drop down menu all the presets are listed.
