IPOD TOUCH IS SHOWING UP AS AN IPHONE ON ITUNES.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME I AM ANNOYED

Did the alert iTunes threw up say 'iPhone requires service pack 2' ?

I'm having this problem too- if anyone could tell me how to get this 'service pack two' I would be soooooo grateful...

Service pack 2 for windoze, see microsoft.com and make sure your OS is up-to-date
OK I INSTALLED DE SERVICE PACK2 IT DID NOT DO MUCH OR NOTHING, NOW IT SHOWED ON SCREEN REISTALL ITUNES , THAT IVE DONE LIKE 20 TIMES. PLUS WINDOWS RECOGNISES THE TOUCH AS A CAMERA. PLUS IVE CONNECTED THE TOUCH TO A MAC LAPTOP AND ALSO TOLD ME THAT IT WAS AN IPHONE. SO IS IT MY TOUCH???
okay so had this exact issue last week and i managed to fix it so i'll see if i can help.
pretty much, you have to install service pack 2, go to google and type in 'windows service pack 2' and find one of the links that takes you to the download page
once you've done this you have to unintstall your itunes. if you search it in itunes help it gives you instructions on how to do that. from there you have to install the newest version of itunes from apple. You should probably restart you're computer to make sure everything is downloaded properly and is working. from there i just plugged the thing in and it worked!
