old G-3 iBook good, newer G-4 iBook works but no range
I have a mushroom looking Airport Extreme white thingy on the wall.
My old iBook G-3 600mghz worked fine with its Airport card with a 20 meter-60 foot range, at least.
Something inside the iBook went kaput and Mac said it was unecomomical to fix.
So, I got a used iBook G-4 1.07mghz with the Airport Extreme card installed and it works, but on with a 3 meter-10 foot range.
Ive downloaded 10.4.1 OS to the newer iBook.
Any suggestions to make the new, improved, later, greater computer-card combo work?
