Scrolling through contacts?

It's there.
Run your finger along the alphabet list on the right, instead of tapping a letter, and it will scroll slowly through your contact list.

This only works if you don't have a lot of contacts. Once you highlight the letters bar, it scrolls from the beginning of each letter but not thourghout the available contacts in that letter.

I was just playing with it and paying attention to what I was doing....you just have to touch the bottom or top(depending on if you are going up or down), and then make sure you do not lift your finger at all. You can scroll slowly, and when you reach the end, lift up finger and do it again. As someone said earlier, if it highlilghts, just start scrolling...it will not go to your contact that you highlights unless you lift your finger of the contact without scrolling.

Definitely appears as though this was done by design for slow scrolling.

Hmm, I just tried, and I don't seem to have any problem scrolling slowly, by not flicking but instead just starting at the top or bottom and slowly dragging my finger down or up. And if you happen to highlight a name, if you start scrolling it unhighlights and starts scrolling. Sorry I can't be more help.

With the ease it is to get through the list with the flicking feature, I am thrilled that they "missed" the option.

Just practice. I had that problem a little bit when I am doing something slow, but after some practice, I am able to go through at all sorts of different speeds.
