Chapters or Sub Menus Help

HELP! I have 12 Self Contained Quick Time Movies that I want to create a DVD with. If I use "Magic iDVD" from the main menu I can choose a theme (Reflections) and then drop all 12 movies in the order I want on to the blank input fields. I click create project and Voila, I have a link on the main screen that says"movies". Click "movies" and it brings you to the next menu which says "Movies 1-6", on the bottom of the screen it has two arrows one for the main menu and one for another menu "Movies 7-12". Everything is great!

My Problem: I can not seem to duplicate this menu process by creating a "New Project" from the main screen. No matter what I do it will not create the same sub menu format. Does anyone know why? I end up with Movie Icons on top of each other, with one arrow at the bottom of the screen, etc... No matter how I add sub menu's it will not duplicate the "Magic iDVD" format for two sub screens with 6 movies each.

Hmmmm. I couldn't offhand duplicate that same menu process either, and I don't know why. That format may not be available with a "New Project". Might take more fiddling. I just didn't have time.

What I did pretty much accomplished (I think) the process you want, though. I tried two things: First, I opened a new DVD project. I selected the Reflections menu. Then I went to the menu Project>Add Submenu, and added a submenu button onto the main menu. The text of the button said, "My Submenu" or something like that. I changed the text to read "Movies 1-6". Then I repeated the process to add another submenu button, and titled it "Movies 7-12". Then I loaded up the two submenus with my movies by dragging them in. When i clicked on "Movies 1-6" from the main menu, it took me to the 1-6 submenu that contained the icons of the movies displayed vertically. However, there was only one arrow -- and that would take me back to the main menu where I could then select the "Movies 7-12" button that would take me to movies 7-12. I could not access the "Movies 7-12" sub-manu directly from the "Movies 1-6" submenu.

Secondly, I did the same procedure as above, except instead of adding the "Movies 7-12" menu to the main menu, I added it to the "Movies 1-6" menu as a sub-submenu. I dragged the "Movies 7-12" button down to the right hand corner where the arrow would normally be. That allowed me to access the "Movies 7-12" submenu directly from the "Movies 1-6 menu, just as if there were an arrow instead of a sub-submenu button. When I hit the back arrow of the 7-12 menu, it took me back to the 1-6 menu, and from there the back arrow returned me to the main menu.

The second procedure seems to perform the function you want, as I understand it. It just has a submenu button instead of an arrow to take you to the next submenu.

I may be overlooking an easy way to do this, and perhaps others will have a simple answer. Post back if you find out how to do it.
