elgato vs. slingbox

Can anybody who has worked with both slingbox and eyetv give me an opinion on which is best overall? I'd like to watch TV and video on other computers and on an iPhone. Looks like Slingbox solves the first problem well, but does not work with iPhone. I see that eyetv has a web interface now that you can access from other computers and the iPhone, but doesn't look like it can stream live TV, only material that is first encoded. Because encoding takes awhile, that pretty much eliminates live or near live streaming. Which of these two products will add features they don't already have?

Elgato provides you with whatever TV stations it receives at the place your remote computer and Elgato are set up, contingent on signal strength, which may mean foreign language programs if you are overseas.

Slingbox on the other hand will wirelessly relay the entire service you are paying for at home, via the internet, to your portable or other computer hitched up to the internet anywhere in the world with broadband access.

The question is do you want local programs or the ones you usually watch when at home?
