I have been running both together for 6 months on my Vista machine. Suddenly one day iTunes wont open. I have been through every troubleshooting task on the Apple website, still failure. I have every patch that apple recommends to fix Vista problems, I have the latest iTunes and Quicktime player 7.4.3.1

When I click on iTunes I get "iTunes has stopped working" with the following details.

I am getting very agitated over this as one day it works the next is doesn't and unless you bought the extended plan Apple doesn't want to help directly instead they let everyone here take a stab at their problems.

Oh, and when it stopped working my computer did not have any updates installed previous to that as I was not connected to the internet. I downloaded an installed the newest itunes with the same problem. Like I said before I went through every apple troubleshooting technique and none have worked.

Any ideas before I smash my iPod in a million pieces and send back to apple with a hateful letter?
