Has anyone gone running with the Touch yet? I went once, without a "real" case (used my wife's 30GB classic case). Is there going to be a workout friendly case coming out? Has anyone seen a workout case? How will it work with the touch screen? Is it OK to run with the Touch?
I've seen some vendor offering or should I say going to offer a armband type case for it. I can't remember where I saw it though. I would assume since it's solid state storage based you could probably use it without much thought other than breaking the glass screen.
I've heard that most people aren't digging the touch screen controls while you're involved doing something else (ie. running) so that might be a hinderance. I'd say as long as you've got the Touch protected enough that it won't get all scratched up and you don't mind carrying around a slightly larger iPod I wouldn't see why you couldn't do it.
I've got a Nano (and a Nike + kit) so the point is sort of moot for me but I wouldn't hesitate taking it out on a run if I had to.
It looks to be a pretty solid case. I myself am planning to run with my touch when I get it in 2 to 3 weeks so I guess I'll find out then if it will workout the way I want it to. lol
I took mine on a run recently. I kept it in the pocket of a pair of shorts with a deep pocket. My plan is to acquire an armband case when they become available so I can start taking it to the gym.
I'm planning to purchase the iFM radio and remote cable. In addition to pulling in FM stations, it also provides a remote button so you can skip to or go back to the next/previous song. Just found out it's compatible with the iPod touch.
