"Faster" by Plaid....which mac was it made on?

I tried playing the demo songs that came with Logic Studio. I certainly can't play this song (by Plaid) on my macs (intel core duo with 2 GB RAM). Has anyone tried on their's?

I actually tried the benchmark song again and it runs 13 tracks on my mac mini with Logic Pro 8, exactly the number of tracks Logic 7 could run. Anyway, I don't think this song will run on Macbooks or Mac minis (at least the core duos). I just checked and this song has enormous amount of plugins, effects. It uses compressors, channel eqs, limiters, gain, phasers, vsts, space desingers, etc. I just don't know if there's anything that there is in Logic that's not been used for this song. LOL.

What an awesome song! Very different flavor.

Yeah, very "glitchy" little tune. Weird, but cool. One more plug for the MacBook Pro here - 2.4 GHz Core2 Duo, 4 GB RAM - awesome machine! The "Faster" demo plays back flawlessly (from the system drive), and there were only a couple times where ONE of the processors pegs up to 100%, while the other bobbles around 25% or so. I was even opening plugins and messing around with settings, checking email, poking around this site, etc...

I could run this song just fine, played smoothly without hiccup on a Macbook Core Duo 1.83Ghz 2GB Ram.

It was running on an external hard drive, but then EVERYTHING I do runs on an external HD so I'd expect it to work.
I don't think it's THAT demanding an arrangement. My Macbook has run far more demanding Audio sessions before with way more processing than this.
