Touchpad wont work

My touchpad(or tracking pad whatever its called) wont work on my iBook. Its been not working for a while but now its starting to annoy me. I have to carry around my mouse everywhere I bring my iBook. Does anyone know how I can access my touchpad preferences. Its not in the keyboard/mouse preferences. Has anyone had this problem before.
