How much RAm could I put on my iBook G4? And what drives?

As simple as that, how much RAM does support?

I have the on-board 512, and like to add one on the free slot, how much ram can it take? 2GB? 1GB?

Also I whant to upgrade the hard drive, It is reccomended to do that by myself? I have already installed drives on old iMacs, eMac, iBook 300, so I think this is not more difficult than those models, Am I wright?

Thanks a lot

This is an excellent "how to" guide.

You need a "spudger" apple tool ebay have them.

Any 2.5" IDE/Ultra ATA drive will work. It is involved & tedious. But worth it. While you are adding a hard drive you might to add a superdrive & bluetooth module if you don't have those already.

The memory upgrade is easy.

You can get the bluetooth board, antenna and logic board cable from mac recycling.
