how to remove icons from the desktop?

Hello folks,

I can't seem to find a way to remove icons from the desktop... these are the icons im talking about

Check with the provider of the hack you used to install these applications and associated icons. These weren't provided by Apple nor does Apple support adding/removing icons from the iPhone's desktop or Home screen.

Allan,

That was a screenshot I found on a web to help guide anyone who is reading the post to help me with my question.

I just simply don't know where and what menu to click on to remove some of these icons on my desktop that i do not need such as STOCK, Weather and so on..

There is no way supported by Apple to do what you are asking.

uhmm... don't you think thats' a little strange tho?

Let's say there's some icons you dont' want like for example STOCKS... im sure there's a way to get it off the desktop no?

Not without using a hack. As already provided, Apple does not support adding/removing stock applications and associated icons from the iPhone's desktop or Home screen.

At this time you are unable to change the springboard on the iPhone. All icons and the black backdrop are set. Hopefully this will change with a future update but no one here can say when or even if it will ever be an option. Sorry for the bad news but we are all stuck with a "stock related" icon that we don't use and wish could be removed. Go to the Feed Back link and tell them what you would like to see in the future.
