Loose Monitor (flat Screen) iMac G4

When ever I move my monitor up it always falls back down by its self. Is there a way to tighten it up so it stays in the position I put it in?

iMac G4, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

Hello,

Have a read of this thread. There are tools out there called Neck Tool and Neck Tool Pro but nowhere that I've checked longer stocks them. If you can find them it will avoid a trip to your local Apple Authorised Service Provider.

For that price I will attach a hook to my wall with a string wrapped around the neck to keep it where I want it.

However thank you for the help. I was hoping it was going to be a much cheaper easy fix.
