convert trp to mpeg or anything to make dvd in idvd

I dont know anything about burning dvd's. I have a home made movie. dont know who made it. but its in a trp file? how do i convert it to make a dvd in idvd. i have no idea what to do with it. i only got this mac computer about 9 months ago and i made a few dvd's but they where in mpeg format already. i dont even know what trp is. any help? im trying to help out a student in making this dvd. thanks in advance......

regarding to my database a .trp file is an HDTV video file from some Korean videocard for PCs..
sounds to me a il' too exotic for Mac usage..

ANY import for iDVD should be 'dv-stream'/NTSC/PAL .. or AIC... but any HiDef gets automatically converted to SD resolution, since iDVD creates SD-dvd only ...

the makers of VisualHub, the swiss-army knife on Macs for video conversions, have an excellent support and buys board, probably, your request there is a better place:
