Has anyone had any sucess using the ipod touch with the JVC ipod car adapter?

I haven't had any luck at all. Hopefully the next update will fix it.
On my reciever I can use the adpater somewhat if I switch the settings from "ipod" to "external" in the jvc settings but I only get audio and no button functionality through the jvc interface. It would be very helpfull to have that ability.
All I get on my pod is Accessory Connected.
Same issue with IPhone. =(
I have found that the only head units that work with the iPod Touc hare Pioneer DEH models and the newer Alpine and Kenwood models.
I actually have a KD-AR860.
If I switch over to EXT-IN instead of CD-CH audio will pass to the head unit but there is no iPod control.
I might just be fine with that though considering how nice the album art is displayed.
Just need a holder of some sort...
I hear plexi-glass and my Dremel calling.

Me too. This is sad and unacceptable. Everything states that it works with any ipod with a dock connector. I understand why a case may not work, but ALL dock connector accessories must work or Apple is just trying to screw their customers. FIX this immediately!!!!
It is clear that apple changed their device and JVC did not change their adapter, so APPLE must fix this immediately.

anyone found a solution to this problem? I have emailed JVC support and will post any reply I receive from them.
Thanks for keeping us updated.

Well I think this is not JVC fault because I have tested my iPod touch with older Alpine models with their interface (full speed) and it works just fine and when I connect it to my JVC unit I get the same as you (accesory connected), I think we must urge apple to correct this because this is clearly a problem with iPod touch not the car units
JVC states that they do not have an adapter that works with the new iPod Touch nor did they have any idea if they would be making one. I agree with the previous message. Apple needs to release an update to make the Touch compatible with any dock connector. I do not know why they wouldn't in the first place.
Hi
I have just gotten my PD100 and unfortunately did not check the forum before ordering it. I also sure hope Apple will find a solution for this ...

Yes I too justed pick up the JVC KS-PD100 and when i hooked up my iPod touch all it says on the radio is iPod no sound no nothing!! grrr.
You've got to be kidding?
It was compatible with anything with the dock connector at the time of production.
Since then, new iPods are released.
That's life.
Software written for Panther likely does not work with Leopard.
At the time, the box said "Requires OS X"
OK, now there's a new version.
Upgrade.
You think companies have to keep making things work with older hardware/software forever?
I don't.

When I ordered my JVC adapater, I asked if it would work with the iTouch. Sure, no problem. Well, like everyone else, works in the EXT mode without ipod funcionality, but not in ipod mode. I have managed to get the JVC HD to acknowledge there is an ipod attached, but there is no music. Sounds like a software version problem. Maybe if we all complain......
