"...my Quicken File has become locked..."

Do you mean that, you can no longer load the Quicken application, or that an individual Quicken data file, is inaccessible?

If it is a file that will not open, be sure that you are logged in with the account that created the file.
Click once on the file to highlight it, and do a Get Info (Command + I keys).

Click on the ▼ Disclosure Triangle for Ownership & Permissions.
-What is displayed after You can ? It should be Read & Write.

Click on the ▼ Disclosure Triangle for Details.
-What is displayed for:
Owner: ? It S/B Your account.
If the padlock is in the locked position, click on it to unlock, and enter your password when prompted.
Access: ? S/B Read & Write.

I had a similar problem recently. My issue was not with the actual data file but the support files that Quicken uses. Somehow the permissions were set to "Read Only" and that was not sufficient. It is a pain but what I needed to do was go into the "Quicken Essentials" folder inside the Quicken folder in Apps. Inside you will find several generic files. "Get Info" for each one individually, set the owner to yourself (you may need to unlock the little padlock icon with your admin password), make sure you can "Read and Write" for each of the files. If each is already set appropriately, you don't have the same issue I did.

Good Luck
