D-Link DBT-122 & Wireless Keyboard & Mouse?

Has worked fine for me for both mouse and keyboard for 2+ years. Try running software update, there has been at least one firmware update for the dlink dongle.

What did you do so far? Did you run the Bluetooth set-up assistant? Did you mark your devices discoverable? Is Bluetooth turned on?

I do remember upgrading my dongle's firmware to a version that will make it only work on a Mac from that point forward, this might fix your problem....

I found that both location of the dongle, or presence of other wireless devices (particularly phones) can effect the quality of the connection. Mine doesn't work well if plugged into the back of my apple display (I think the metal frame causes interference). Also, when I had a cordless phone in the near vicinity of the dongle it didn't function well.

I saw somewhere "don't plug the dongle into the keyboard or a hub. Plug it into the back of the computer or it won't see.) (maybe loose) it If you have one you can spare.☺ Mine even works in a hub,
but I only use it for one item at a time. See if that works.

I found what I was looking for, hopefully this will help you, do at your own risk 🙂 A search on google will bring you straight to Apple's Bluetooth Updater 1.2.1 software...

I mounted the image and copied "BTFWUpdate1.2.1.pkg" from it to the desktop. After that control-click the file and select "Show package contents". A new window opens with a single directory named "Contents". Inside that directory look for a file named "Archive.pax.gz" and move it to the desktop. Double-Click the file on the desktop. If all goes well it should create an "Applications"-Folder with the Bluetooth Firmware Updater-Utility inside it. Now you finally have a working 1.2.1-Updater. You can copy it to your utilities-Folder, but you don't have to, it works from everywhere.

If I understand you were able to use Apple's wireless keybaord and mouse with USB 1.1?
I noticed that you original post was from a few years back, do you know whether this is the case for the newest Wireless keyboard an mouse.
I have an eMac PowerPC G4, which does not have USB 2.0, do you think I the wireless keyboard and mouse will work with that, if I use USB 2.0 Dongle?

I had the same problem earlier and got the answer that 122 don't support more then one device at a time, so you have to get D-Link DBT-120 instead. From what I heard the most stable and compatible adapter to Mac.
