Insert Tables into Apple Mail

That function does not seem to exist in the current version of Mail. There is no search result for "table" in Mail's help. However, I am able to create (and fill) a table in TextEdit and copy/paste it into the Mail Compose window, and it shows up as a table. In TextEdit, the command is menu > Format > Text > Table...

If there is a more direct way to do it, I'd like to know how myself.
