wave plugin problem

a few of my waves plugins from Platinum bundle don't get recognized. i ran AU scanner in logic and about 8 plugs don't work. they do NOT pass verification. IR-1, L3 ultramax, some stuff like that, but all hte other platinum bundle plugs wrk great. i noticed something after reading here:

my waves Authorizers folder in Waves dir., i ran all Waves AU reg utility. app's. one of them says "Could not find
Waveshell-AU-5.0.component" in (library/audio/plugins/components). i read that if they said "found 0 plugs" then i should delete any left over waveshell files, but i have reverese problem...i seem to have a missing waveshell file.

so, how do i get the waveshell file there? i have no idea where the heck it came from?

thanks

The way Waves stuff works is there is one actual Waves plugin in the components directory, which is the Waveshell, and it's that that loads the indvidual plugins in the Waves folder.

If this Waveshell plugin is not there, then re-install your Waves plugins.

Note that you'll most likely need at least 5.0b4 or higher for your Waves plugins to all pass validation in Logic 7.

i have 4 waveshells in components directory. when i authorized them, they all seemed to recognize a chunk of plugins. you said i only need one, but what about the others that recognize plugins? i have version 5.01, 5.2 and a few more higher.

i bought the platinum bundle 5 months ago or so. which exact version should i have of wavesshell for my small percent of plugins to work.

is there a chance that platinum comeos with a few plugs (the L3 maximizer) which are demo and don't work? i just feel weird deleting all wavesshells when i run the autrhoizer utility as someone mentioned and all 4 of waves shells recognize a certain amount of plugs.

man, why do they make this stuff so complicated
