Help with Rulers and Guides

If you are using Pages 3, you can turn on the vertical/side ruler in Preferences. Check the third box under Ruler Units - Enable vertical ruler in word processing documents.

For the guides, in a word processing document, click on a floating object or click outside the layout area. Command + click for Pages 3. Now you can click in rulers to make guides appear. You click in the vertical ruler & drag to the right or click in the top ruler & drag down to insert guides.

I had to go to the help for the guides. I knew I had done it, but couldn't remember how. It's so clear once you see the answer! 😉

I've also found that option-clicking works as well.
