php downloading...

php downloading...

A few forums I go to have PHP links to download files. but it seems that safari wants to download the actual PHP file, not the file it is linked to (displayed on the page as a link).

Some people have said it has something to do with clearing caches, others opening of safe files.

anyone know why this happens? Or how to fix it on my end or the other end (One of them is real nice and would love to know).

Most likely it is out of date PHP scripts that haven't been updated to work with Safari as a browser.
I've seen some that download any such linked files (a PDF for example) as blah.pdf.txt.
Try a different browser and see if it works as intended.

yeah, firefox works fine it seems. I will send the owners of the sites your recommendation/explanation.
