I have prepared a document in pages and want to export it as an HTML for web site. But the HTML shows page breaks. How can i remove page breaks so that the document has not gapes whatsoever?
Let's make a distinction here between natural flow of text between pages, and forced page breaks. Are you talking about getting rid of the former or the latter? If it's the former, you don't get rid of it. Pages will always show individual pages. There is no "toilet paper roll" view in Pages. If you're talking about the latter -- forced page breaks -- we've answered that question. But you seem to be saying that your document has no forced breaks in it.
I think I have found the answer. My page document contained a colour file from another program. So when I exported to a HTML file, it was that foreign file that mucked up the HTML. I have used a colour very closely to what I wanted from Pages itself. Now I can export it as a HTML file WITHOUT page breaks.
Anyway I am learning slowly. I thought I could import a colour file (an image) from another program.
I am glad that I can come back to this discussion board for more help if I need it. I feel a bit safer.
Thanks a lot for your help Dennis. I appreciate it.
Click on View > Show Invisibles, and you should be able to see the page breaks. Highlight one of them, just as if it were a typed character, then press the Delete key.
