Change Caller ID info?

Caller ID information is controlled via AT&T. Try calling them and having the information changed.

Actually and names it shows you are names from your contact list. If they are not in your contact list, it will just show the number.

If you want to swap first and last names then go to Settings, then Phone. Where it has contacts you can tell it how to sort and display your names. If you choose First, Last for Display Order, that is how the name will look when they call. It has nothing to do with AT&T as the caller ID on phones only sends the number, the phone does the matching to names you have saved.

He's refering to his outgoing caller id, not the id's of the incoming calls.

Oops, mised the my part. Too much caffine. Then yes, call AT&T.

Caller ID information is strange. If I call my house from my mobile phone, it shows up on the caller ID unit as Cell Phone MA with my number below it. If I call my parents house in Maine, it comes across their caller ID as my Last Name First Name with my number underneath. My parents use Verizon for their andline, and I use RCn Communications. It gets even stranger, becuase my cousin is also an AT&T mobility customer, and when she calls my landline, it comes up as her Last Name First Name with her number below.

So I don't know what's going on, and who is controlling what, but if it was AT&T then it would be consistent everywhere.
