PCI Firewire & USB2 combo card not working HELP!! :)

Hello everyone out there in apple land, I have just got myself (albeit off Ebay) a shiny new PCI card with 5 USB's and 3 firewire ports, now the Ebay add said it has OSX support, and sure enough when I go into system profiler it shows i have a highspeed USB device but no matter what i plug in it doesnt work/power up, mice, memory sticks, hubs etc, nothing does anything,

the driver CD is a typical PC mess, drivers for several types of devices but no mension of anything apple, its a red card sporting 2 VIA chips .

if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated
(i have contacted the seller but as yet have had no reply)

I bought a cheap one of from macsales.com( http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/add/6875/OWCFWUSBPCI/), and it too did not come with any mac drivers. My problem with it was the USB ports wouldn't work as 2.0 it would report it as highspeed but any device connected was maxxed out at a top speed of 11mbps instead of 480mbps. I went to a website of a more expensive card and downloaded there USB2.0 software package and now my card works right. It might work for you as well. Here is one I found, I don't remember if it is the same one I used, but it is worth a try
