External DVD Burner for Mac (& TV??)

I know practically nothing about computers. I'm trying, though.
I'm looking to buy a reasonably priced external DVD burner (such as the OWC Mercury Pro Dual Layer DVD-/+RW Pioneer DVR-112D 18X External)and am wondering if one exists that I can hook up to my TV also, to burn movies? (The OWC Mercury Pro Dual Layer DVD-/+RW Pioneer DVR-112D 18X External does NOT do this!)
