Do apple do a January Sale? Looking to buy an iMac should I wait?

Im maybe going to get an iMac, will be pooling my birthday and Xmas money and everything else I can find to buy an iMac around Xmas.

Should I wait till January though, do Apple do sales? will it be reduced (what has happened in the past?)

I know Apple computers (this will be my 1st Apple computer) are pretty rigid on there pricing,and you cant really get them with discounts, but is it woorth me waiting until Jan to see if they have any offers? Im not in no great rush

The only 'deals' Apple do on their computers are refurbished ones. These come with warranties. Look at the Apple Store for your country and see what's available. They are available gradually throughout the year, not at specific times.

In the US, I believe Apple traditionally holds a 1-day sale on the day
after Thanksgiving. I have no clue as to products or discount levels.

so they never do a "normal" sale, ie after Xmas when sales might be slow or something?

I nkow prices are pretty fixed for Apple stuff like.

Its just I dont want to buy a iMac in Dec say and thenin Jan they come down or you get something free, has this ever happened before?

The prices stay firm. The only bargains you may get are if Apple is running an offer. Recently, if you bought an iMac from Apple, you got a free printer and free iPod. Resellers like Best Buy may offer their own freebies too. I would think, though, that the special offers would come just before Christmas instead of in January, because that's when stores are eager to make their yearly quotas.

I agree with Looby, in the past ain't my fault if they don't now, Apple held a day after Thanksgiving sale or so I heard anyway! I bought this one on evilbay, but be careful there too! Check feedback & stuff don't only look at price!
