Putty for Mac?

Hi! i've started a programming course and they told us to use putty, i can't find one for Macs ...
please help

PowerPC G4, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

There's no need for an application like that -- ssh ships with OSX by use of the Terminal app found in the Utilities folder.

i use (or rather attempt to )Terminal for Perl but they want to introduce us to Linux. any advice?
