Totally debilitating bug in LP8 forces me back to 7...

Those of you who use tempo changes and the "lock SMPTE" and "unlock SMPTE" functions (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!) will eventually run into this bug and it will force you back to using Logic 7. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it stops your project cold and, since you can't open your file in L7, YOU ARE SCREWED. Here's what happens (and yes, of course I filed a bug report):

Put a tempo change into the tempo list.

Lock all your MIDI regions

Delete the tempo change so your Absynth/FM7 or whatever doesn't make the awful audio glitch at the point of the tempo change

Look at your MIDI regions: all your controller information (sustain pedal, mod wheel, volume, etc.) is now moved all to one beat several bars before the beginning of each sequence. The notes are still in their correct spot. YOU ARE TOAST. You've got several days worth of work going, and now what are you going to do? You can't continue to add tempo changes, which as everyone dealing with film and TV knows is an impossibility. Same bug, or something very similar happened with the first version of Logic 7, and it was one of the first major bugs fixed, so I'm hoping they get on it with this, which is why I'M PUBLICIZING IT!
