Re-typing what you just typed

Is there a keyboard shortcut that will automatically re-type the last thing you typed in?

imac G5 20; 1gig RAM; 300HD; airport; bluetooth keyboard, mouse; bose companion, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

There's no such thing. The app you are using would have to include such a feature. How should the system know which part of your input is the desired "retype" part?

Sorry, I think that's not possible...

I find that when browsing, the text you want re-typed was on a previous web page. So, Copy & Paste requires returning o that page which is not very convenient.

If one could, say type Shift-F1, and the Finder would re-type your last text input, I think it would come in handy.

Depends on what & where. If you refer to Terminal.app just press the UP arrow. If you're talking about "undoing" an accidental deletion of text you can use +Z in most applications.
