How do you anchor (link) from one cell to another sheet?

Hi!

To reference to a cell in teh same file, but in a other sheet user the following format:

sheet::table::cell

sheet: the name of the sheet
table: the name of teh table in the sheet
cell: the cell reference in the table (e.g. B5)

See also page 90 in the manual.

Or simple start to write the formula and click simple an the cell in the other sheet.

To reference a cell in a other file, there ist in the moment no way, to do it (that I know).

I recently purchased Numbers (in iwork) and have been completely unable to link cells between separate spreadsheets. ( As Bjorn stated, it seems you can link cells between sheets within a single spreadsheet but not between spreadsheets)

Many of my excel spreadsheets rely on the cell linkage feature and lack of this function greatly reduces Numbers capability.

Does anyone no of a workaround or update?

I would be surprised if something change on this feature.

Numbers is a new kind of spreadsheet.

What you made with different spreadsheets may be done now in a single document.

But perhaps you didn't take care that a Numbers document may embed many sheets and that each sheet may embed many tables.

Once again, Apple think different, for those which are not reluctant to change old habits.
