Can't minimize Safari

Somehow the yellow circle disappeared off of all my Safari windows, so I can't minimize them. Double clicking them doesn't work either, even though under my System Preferences it's set so that it should.
I can minimize other applications/programs, just not Safari. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Another data point - my iBook G4 with 10.4.11 and Safari 3.0.4 has this same issue. I haven't figured out which site seems to be related to the problem...the kids use Webkinz and Toontown (which has it's own sublaunched client app) on this machine, and I have a feeling it is one of those.

I have not seen the problem on our eMac, PowerMac G4, or my new iMac...very odd.

I reading this and wondering what everyone means. Are you talking about the 3 buttons on the top left hand of the window?

My red one closes my window, my orange one puts the window in my dock (as does apple + m) and my green one makes the window an itsy bit smaller but not much.

So I guess I can't minimize a window either or is putting it in the dock minimizing it?

Thank you,
Martha

Yes

My red one closes my window, my orange one puts the window in my dock (as does apple + m) and my *green one makes the window an itsy bit smaller but not much.*

*Sometimes it will be much bigger, depends on the document.*

So I guess I can't minimize a window either or is putting it in the dock minimizing it?

*Putting it on the dock, by the trash can, is what it does.*

I have the same problem. Note that quitting Safari and relaunching it fixes the issue.

I haven't found a specific website where the issue occurs for me. It just happens at random. I will just be surfing (using multiple tabs) when I'll just notice that the yellow button has gone gray and that the window can no longer be minimized with the button or using keyboard shortcuts.

So playing with this more... I can repro every time as of right now (who knows what will happen after I reboot). I have Spaces set up with 2 spaces side by side. I use the Ctrl-Left Arrow / Ctrl-Right Arrow keyboard shortcuts to move between spaces.

If I open a brand new window on Safari and Ctrl-Right arrow to Space 2 and then Ctrl-Left arrow back to Space 1 (where my Safari window was) the minimize button goes gray and I cannot minimize anymore.

I have to quit Safari to get it back. But this is not a Safari issue. Same thing happens when I use TextEdit.
