Internet Sharing won't work

I am trying to share my AirPort connection to an older computer over Ethernet. When I go to turn on Internet Sharing (I've done it before and it worked fine), it turns right back off. I've tried repairing permissions, and I've tried removing preference files, per older suggestions for the same problem. Nothing worked. How can I make this work?

Mac Mini, Intel Core Solo, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

That IP should be OK.

Have you repaired Permissions & rebooted yet?

Might try dragging one or more of these files to the Desktop, reboot & set up again...

/Users/nnnn/Library/Preferences/com.apple.internetconnect.plist

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist

/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist

Try looking at then trashing...

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.nat.plist

The reason to look at it is that you need the last numbers in "Primary Service"to also trash...

/Users/bd8/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.PrefPane.Network.0003930b0244.pl ist

Your numbers will most likely be different for the "0003930b0244" part.

I think we might have it this time! 🙂
