Virex 7.2.1

Virex 7.2.1

I am running Virex 7.2.1 and would like to uninstall it. All the links to the instructions for uninstalling Virex 7.2.x are more than 2 years old and no longer valid.
Does anyone know how I can uninstall Virex 7.2.1?

Powerbook, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

No the link for the directions to uninstall Virex 7.2 takes me to the mcafee support page. When I tried to get their help, mcafee's response was that they did not support MAC OSX for Virex. Only VirusScan. The other link does do something but it does not uninstall Virex 7.2.

I use it before installing SAV 10 on my new Macs...

Sure.. I wish I could post this somewhere. I've gotten 6 emails for it. Apparently several people are looking to uninstall Virex 7.2

It seems pretty ignorant and pig headed of apple and mcaffee both to refuse to post such a small removal script somewhere accessible to us. The apple support pages point to nonexistent files on the mcaffee site and the mcaffee forums say to contact apple if you bought virex from apple.

I couldn't agree with you more. I contacted McAfee and was given the run around to four different people -none told me that Virex was defunct. The last one told me peremptorily that Mc Afee no longer supported Virex. What re Apple and Mc Afee up to. Can't they get it together to help their customers?
