So why don't you just delete the ones you don't need/want?

that enables you do retain cookies from favourite sites but automatically delete all others on close-down.

Then clearly you don't do it often enough.

You are either under 20 or over 60, because if you are individually deleting your cookies, then clearly you have too much time on your hand.

I do to clear cookies ones a week, when you are done by trashing the cookies you don't want or use an you will do the same ones a week than it will take max 5 minutes to clear the cookies.

A faster way to get rid of then is to trash the cookies.plist in the Cookies folder. But than you have to login an remembering passwords.

Only to try if Safari is running smoothly again you can drag the cookies.plist to the desktop (don't trash it). When Safari is running again fast than you know for sure that there is a or more cookies that are corrupt. Than drag back the cookies.plist from the desktop back to the Cookies folder an select them the ones you don't want any more.

Or download the SafariPlus as Klaus 1 mention. I did to an I can tell you that it makes deleting or selecting - deselecting cookies much more easier.

You are absolutely correct!

Which gives me the knowledge, experience and common sense to delete unwanted cookies regularly, until I discovered SafariPlus.

As well as not having cookies turned at all if I am just casually surfing.

And yes, I also have the time to come here and try to help people with less knowledge, experience and common sense (and good manners) than myself.
