Mac or PC Version of After Effects
Hello,
I'm having quite the dilemma. I just purchased a MacBookPro and am running Final Cut Pro on it. I have (and want more) some plug-ins and effects that only work in Adobe After Effects. Plus I've found a lot more tutorials and help on AE. Previously I was doing editing on my PC desktop (so it's got a decent set up). I'm loving my Mac and will eventually replace my desktop system with a Mac Pro (at least that's the plan now).
I'm trying to figure out whether to get CS3 for Mac or Windows. I would only be installing AE on my laptop for space reasons, but would buy the Production Suite. I've read that the Windows version of CS3 is more full featured. So I am trying to find out if it would be preferable to run BootCamp or Parallel (or which ever dual software) with the Windows based AE. I have space on my desktop to install the rest of the suite...or should I buy the Mac version since its made for Macs and just wait to install the suite when I get a Mac desktop? I'm not thinking that I can run the software off of an external hard drive? Or is that a possiblity?
I haven't had any luck with my searches as of yet
Thanks!
