When I first started using my iPhone, it picked up our houses wi-fi signal just fine, throughout the whole house, but now I am lucky if it picks it up at all. I thought maybe it was our wireless router, but it isn't. As I sit here on my laptop, the signal strength it is recieving is excellent (the highest), yet I am lucky if mny phone even picks up the signal. Whats more, when it does pick up the signal, and I have three curved bars above the icon, when I go to safari, it immediately switched back to the Edge network, so on the rare occasion I do get connected, it won't stay connected.
When you open your wifi options there is a button lables forget this network. That deletes the network from the iphone, giving you the chance to set it up again. Fixes some wifi issues.
Well that does not work if the network name is not listed. I am not able to connect even though I am no more than 10 feet away with nothing in the way. Kind of odd.
I have turned off my office router an Apple Airport Extreme (unpluged it for at least 1 minute). My iPhone still does not see it. All of my computers in the office see the Airport.
That link does not help me, he is having a totally different problem. All I want to know is if there is something wrong with my phone or not. I have tried resetting it, and still the same thing. My comp picks up the signal perfectly, while my phone doesn't at all.
Having exactly the same issue. I thought it may have happened after 1.1.1. not certain though and resetting router and iphone did not fix it neither did forget network. Looking for a solution too.
