Laptops: Sprint Wireless PC or Mac?

I am thinking about buying a laptop, but I want to avoid Vista. Do Macs use Sprint broadband cards? What are the wireless options?

There have been users posting in the Macbook networking forums that they were using Verizon and Sprint broadband cards but I am sure AT&T would work also

I found this quote on the Sprint website. Has anyone had problems with Sprint wireless broadband cards on macs?

This is helping us decide to buy a Mac lap-top, or keep our XP tower until a new and better OS replaces Vista.
