I use a creative mp3 player. it would show on the desktop and in iTunes, but now doesn't. It shows in the USB list as connected but I cannot access it or click and drag songs onto it anymore. I have only done updates and nothing else.
How can I get the Mac to pick up the mp3 player again?
first thing to do is test the mp3 player on another computer. if it works there, the problem is on the mac, if it doesn't you need to talk to creative.
it works fine on the pc, it worked great on the mac up until 2 weeks ago and have no idea why.
will try the disk repair as tom suggests and let ya know.
many thanks
chris
it doesn't show up in disk utility/repair .just the hard drives connected.
it only shows the creative nano plus in About this Mac , More Info ,USB devices .
will keep prodding,
THANKS TOM

i coonected the mp3 player and hit the restart button on the mac, it restarted and there it was, on the desktop as before and it shows in disk repair too now.
